INTEGRATION
REFUlink + REFUview
Three existing PV plants in Greece had to be retrofitted to comply with new grid operator requirements for active power control and remote shutdown. The objective was to implement the regulatory requirements without interrupting ongoing plant operation.
Retrofit to meet new grid requirements
With REFUlink, one gateway was installed per plant, enabling centralized power control and communication with the grid operator. At the same time, the existing REFUsol inverters were integrated into modern monitoring and control structures.
Compliance with new regulatory requirements for power control
Modernization of existing inverters through new communication interfaces
Simplified replacement of individual inverters without reconfiguration
Centralized monitoring of all plants via REFUview
“The transition to REFU was implemented without delays. Direct access to technical support and the reliable implementation of all regulatory requirements were key factors for the success of this project.”

INTEGRATION
REFUlink + REFUview
A 5.6 MW utility-scale solar park in Rendsburg was successfully commissioned in early 2026. During the planning phase, the operator decided to switch from an international supplier to REFU due to increasing regulatory requirements, the need for full system control and the preference for a German-based solution.
The system design was adapted within a short timeframe and implemented without delaying the overall project schedule.
Reliable implementation under real utility conditions
During commissioning, a third-party plant controller (EZA controller) was not yet fully operational. A REFU service engineer supported directly on site, identified a wiring issue in the communication bus and ensured immediate system readiness.
With REFUlink and REFUview, all grid operator and certification-relevant parameters were centrally configured and documented. The plant was successfully certified and is now operating reliably.
- Designed for regulatory requirements (including NIS2-ready) and full system control
- Fast system redesign and implementation without project delays
- Direct technical support with a dedicated contact and phone access
- Central parameterization and support during the certification process
- Seamless integration of existing and new inverter systems
“The combination of reliable technology, direct support, and ease of use has significantly simplified and accelerated our processes.”

INTEGRATION
REFUlink + REFUview
Pohlensolar implements PV systems nationwide for major food retailers and discount chains. The focus is on efficient operation, minimal downtime, and ease of use for their own technicians.
This is exactly where REFU proved convincing—with reliable technology, well-designed system integration, and direct support in day-to-day operations.
A key advantage is repowering in mixed operation: existing and new REFU inverter generations work seamlessly together. When replacing individual units, parameters no longer need to be transferred manually—settings and even production history are retained.
With REFUlink and REFUview, systems can be centrally monitored, analyzed, and controlled. For technicians, this means fewer on-site visits, reduced effort, and significantly more efficient workflows.
With this combination of technology, ease of use, and personal support, Pohlensolar has significantly streamlined its processes—and is well prepared for future projects.
- Mixed operation of old and new inverter generations without additional effort
- Remote analysis and parameter management via REFUlink and REFUview
- Time savings through automatic parameter transfer and retention of production history
- Direct technical support and hands-on training on site
